Kayla and I first caught up on how her puppy Goose was doing. Less chewing but lots of energy!
Her class attended their feeder high school for a Science presentation earlier that day. Students enjoyed learning about and touching animals.
We discussed her own observations from the video. She was pleasantly suprised by how well her “behavior” student did. She thinks it could be because they are making connections are really invested in the lesson. I told her I liked the warm up phoneme substitution activity as well as the positive reinforcement she continually gave during the lesson.
Looking at her goal, she has moved students out of the controlled-r group and moved students in that had mastered the previous skill. We are going to continue with the same goal for the next few weeks.
Kayla shared she enjoyed the Link Up activity from class. She is excited to try it with her own class with the W&W vocabulary words. I emailed her a few LETRS vocabulary strategies just to have in her tool box.
We scheduled our next 3 meetings: 4/9, 4/23 and 5/7
