Raegan and I shared spring break stories and discussed starting the second session.
I asked her to observe her lesson and note anything she noticed. She said she noticed her student had the routine of I do, we do, you down down. She also noticed that when giving examples of ai and ay, the student demonstrated an understanding but seemed confused with non examples. From now on she will only use examples with her instruction in this group of 2 students.
Unfortunately the student did not pass the screening (mastery = 90%) so she will repeat instruction of the vowel teams and whether she passes or not next week, Raegan will have to move on as per district guidance.
Nicole mentioned she is looking forward to the next session and is hoping to learn more about comprehension.
