Coach Log Note 1:

Katie is a 5th grade teacher in her 22nd year of teaching. She has a Masters degree. She has previously taught in in Kansas City Kansas and in Blue Valley. It is now her 6th year in Walnut Creek in Olathe. She explains her class make up of a lot of high readers also about 5 low readers and 1 student that is Dyslexic

He ELA time is as follows: Wit and Wisdom first with a lot of writing 1 hour, 30 MTSS walk to model, DRI 15 minutes (that has not started yet this year) Spelling is new this year and separate from the normal 95% time as was in the past.

She has started her KU modules and has done 1 Module assessement and feels like she knows a lot about the topic but is still learning new terms. I asked her to begin to think about a problem of practice and a goal for a student or group of students and we will talk more about it next time.
