Notes
Darwyn has made progress in meeting course requirements to observe and teach a class partially meeting application assignment requirements. He observed a teacher during a phonemic awareness lesson and he taught a fluency lesson last week. We reviewed his lesson plan in part to discuss and modify lesson objectives and formative assessments. He used the UFLI lesson 54 as a basis for his lesson – Cave in the Maze.  Darwyn had planned to include his required oral language lesson but ran out of time. He will address this assignment in his next lesson. He does plan to teach his daughter and her friend since he has run out of time in summer school to meet the requirement by the course deadline.
We discussed that the professional discussion with his course cadre will include Modules 7/8 and 9/10. We received the course application requirements for each of the three requirements in the Assessment Hub of the course website. Darwyn indicated that he has not yet addressed the knowledge sections of the course. I strongly encouraged him to do so before completing application assignments.
