Cassie has been working with Addie this year on her decoding deficits and is now focusing on the CVCe phonics pattern. She is hoping to itegrate more strategic methods within the UFLI curriculum to increase Addie's rate of learning.
Target Goal:
Addie will score 90% or above on level 5 of the PSI phonics survey.
Notes
Cassie sent a video of working with her group of 4th grade Special Ed students in which her target student, Addie, was part. The group was working with UFLI materials teaching trigraphs, specifically “tch”. The group was very engaged in the lesson and appeared to be able to meet the objectives of the lesson in small group setting. Addie works with Cassie individually before the group comes together so she can work on her CVCe words also. Addie works on an Ipad for support instead of having to write on a whiteboard. Cassie was interested in providing some extra practice with automaticity for Addie in CVCe practice. I sent her some speed drills so she could add that to her routine. She will progress monitor and report the results at our next meeting.
