For the vowel points, everyone scored a 5/5, except for the two students using phonics pattern of short u. (These are two of the students that also had difficulty with the sentence structure.) I would like to include these three students.

Midpoint:
By November 3, educator will teach 3 students to spell words correctly in dictated sentences including words with phonics patterns and including capitalization and punctuation, with two scores of 4/8 for the sentence and 3/5 for the correct phonics pattern of three letter blends.
Target Goal:
By December 8, educator will teach 3 students to spell words correctly in dictated sentences including words with phonics patterns and including capitalization, punctuation and omissions with two scores of 7/8 for the sentence and 5/5 for the correct phonics pattern of long vowel silent e.
Notes
Today Melissa and I fine tuned her goal. We added the exact phonics pattern that would match each skill on the PSI and where they would be each week in sentence dictation. We also decided that we would score omissions rather than spacing since it is more about spelling. I asked her to send a video and lesson plan prior to next meeting.
We talked more about the make up of her group and the needs of each student and how she might scaffold for each. One is autistic, one is ADHD and one is on an IEP for low reading skills. Differentiation will be interesting.
