Notes
We started our last session with discussing what she still needs to complete to finish up the class. The coachee shared she still needed to finish up writing some reflections and write and teach one more lesson.
When I asked her about what were some of the ideas or concepts that stood out to her and she shared she loved the coaching meetings to get fresh perspectives.
One of her hopes for taking the class was to gain some ideas/resources for teaching writing to kindergarteners. The Writing Module was a great help. She really appreciated the video links for the lesson and for reading rockets. She shared in detail about kernal sentences and looks forward to implementing it. She appreciated that the module shared what was developmentally appropriate.
Lastly, we discussed her reflections on the class. The coachee appreciated the format with the option to pass the pretest with 85% and move straight to the application. She said she still read through the knowledge portion, but felt like she could skim through portions that she already had learned about. Being a kindergarten teacher, she said that some of the application pieces have been a bit more challenging to apply. She said she took lots of notes and took lots of screen shots so that she can refer to all the helpful information in the future.
