Classwork- Got through lessons and did one wrong the first time and had to go back and do the lesson again.

Ideas and concepts taht stood out the most? Words-didn’t understand waht they all meant, even though teaching reading for years. Ex. orthographic. Having this knowledge hels us to communicate better with OT and PT.

What will you incorporate into your classroom instruction? Videos were gerat- have lways done it, but now udnerstand why or the terminology to name more on what kids need.

Working with target students? Frist graders need more comprehension becuase we haven’t taught that as much as phonics. Students need to talk in complete sentences when answering questions. Using oral language more. One of her ESL students doesn’t always understand.

Suggestions for the course- wea re getting so much information. It is hard to try and implement them all. I really love teh course.

Goal- Keep referring to the quadrants and looking at where the students are and continue to know what each kid needs.
