Goals

Through explicit, systematic and cumulative instruction, I will apply vocabulary development methods and morphology instruction using the following tools: • Pre-teaching key vocabulary before reading • Providing repeated exposure to targeted vocabulary • Supporting oral reading of grade-level passages • Reinforcing vocabulary during and after reading activities to ensure student mastery of essential content and general education curriculum access.

Coach Log Note 1:

Dawna is still catching up on assignments but plans to meet all deadlines by May 15.  She discussed the remaining assignments; she requires no assistance in completing the tasks. It is a matter of time to finish, but she is confident that she will be able to meet all requirements.

We also discussed her student goal. We examined the achievement progress that “Jennifer” made over the semester.  She has met her target goal attainment expectation.

We also formulated a long-term instructional goal that Dawna will apply to implement what she learned this year (see news goal listed).
