Jim did not attend this meeting after it was rescheduled from last week. I did remind him of the meeting through email in advance and had sent him an attachment that included resources to address his understanding of the syntax module.
Later that day, he indicated that he forgot again, but asked that we reschedule again. We will meet at our normal time on Wednesday. Jim indicated that he was not able to participate in the Modules 7/8 professional discussion because “no one was there.”  I sent the following email that addresses what still needs to be discussed and addressed:
… please confirm that::
- You can meet this Wednesday at 11:00 and you still have the ZOOM link.
- You received the attachments I sent today to go over the syntax module content.
We have much to talk about. I am sorry that you weren’t able to address the professional discussion last week with fellow course members. There will be a second one for Modules 9/10 so let’s be sure to watch for the date and time. Â
Other topics/questions I have for us to discuss on Wednesday:
- I am glad that you are finishing the quadrant assignment. Will you submit it this week?
- Did you complete the phonics observation with the SLP and did you incorporate module 3 in that observation?
- Did you teach any sessions as planned (writing and fluency were your intended lessons last time we talked)?
