Select key strategies from morphology and other modules for universal application across grades and content areas.

Midpoint:
Develop a long-term professional development plan to provide systematic instruction and support of literacy strategies to be used across content areas and grade levels.
Target Goal:
By June 2027, I will develop resources and provide professional development to all teachers in key literacy strategies to support reading comprehension and word recognition. Student achievement scores will increase by 10% across grades and subgroups through teachers’ proficient application of evidence-based instructional methods as measured through observation and professional discussions.
Notes
Darwyn has requested an extension to complete his assignments, and that request has been approved by Dr. Carlson. He expects to complete all requirements by Monday, August 3. We reviewed the remaining incomplete assignments including: Modules 2, 4, and 5 applications; Module 5 Knowledge test.
We also reviewed his long-term goal and had an extensive discussion on his next steps in developing a resource of strategies to support learning across all content areas – including math.
We addressed two secondary students who are reading at the 1st % ile level and discussed how their IEP goals need to match their needed skills; we emphasized the need to include far transfer into tier 1 instruction and progress monitoring.
