Notes

Coach Log Note 1:

Darwyn has made progress in meeting course requirements by the due date.  However, we discussed that he needs to determine if he should request an extension from Dr. Carlson since he still has multiple assignments to submit.

We reexamined the templates and rubrics used to submit the three types of application assignments.

We also reviewed and modified his lesson plan to incorporate Module 3 (using the CROWD strategy on a Tubman reading passage), and sentience combining lesson for Modules 11/12.  We discussed the need for pre and post testing to determine student needs and optimize his instructional approach.  Darwyn shared that he was not happy with his first lesson plan and delivery.  We discussed how his documented reflections serve to improve his performance on the subsequent experience.

He still needs to submit Module 5 knowledge and application assessments.  He also needs to submit Modules 2, 4, 6, 11/12 application assignments.

We will meet again later this week to review his progress and address any challenges he has completing the remaining assignments.

Finally, we discussed his long-term goal incorporating morphology into practices across grade levels.
