Notes

Coach Log Note 1:

During a personal check-in, Lori said that she was good, but tired.  Kaylee is doing better, finals are going great, and she will be home on Thursday.  The students are good and she will be doing Fastbridge and the Quarterly Benchmark Assessments with them.

The course is DONE!

She has done a little more fluency work with Sophia and Delta (even after the goal was met), and they grew on the CBMS a lot!!!

I stated that our primary purpose today was to talk about her teacher goal.

She utilized Create-a-Story with Tier 2 words as her second strategy to try.  She did it with the whole class.  She pulled out Tier 1 and 2 words from text and wrote them on index cards.  She gave students a choice if they wanted to participate and they all wanted to do it!  She had to add some more words to accommodate everyone.  They created a story about a plant, then added on an ending and it was, “so much fun!”  The students begged to do it again.  :-).  She reflected about how this could support their fairy tale work (growing wishes, word endings, understanding, clarity) and believes that this activity could actually be very informative and diagnostic.  The inclusion of Tier 1 words helped Ashton be successful. In making connections, she said, “I would do this for each of our books.”  This goal has now been met.

We will meet again on 5/19/26 at 4:05.
