Notes

Coach Log Note 1:

During a personal check-in, Kim shared that she and her family have been well, and she was glad that school was almost done.  Enough said…

She said course work was going well and she was finishing up Modules 9/10, and appreciated that she had already gotten feedback for the 7/8 Application Task.

I stated that we had two purposes:  to talk about her progress toward her student goal and toward her teacher goal.

She is working on syllable segmentation with her students and they are beginning to “get it.”

She selected Vocabulary for her teacher goal, and described to me the instruction she has provided for their Garden Unit, using realia and photos for words like caterpillar, chrysalis, and emerge.  She also described students acting out the prepositions along the picture path for Rosie’s Walk.  She said that students had fun and she reflected on how much the physical acting out had impacted their understanding and memory of prepositions.  She made connections to other opportunities to utilize this strategy.

We will meet again on 5/1/26 at 1:00.
