Notes

Coach Log Note 1:

Shaloh Mamedova and I met on Wednesday, April 15 to discuss progress on her goal of developing a presentation for teachers dealing with the concept of blending.  Shaloh has been busy finishing and defending her dissertation but has had some time to work on the presentation.

Shaloh shared the rough draft of the Power Point and we discussed ways in which the Power Point might be streamlined to meet the needs of her target population which will be teachers in Turkmenistan. Within in presentation Shaloh does a thorough job of citing the research which supports the auditory aspect of blending as well as the actual blending process.  We agreed that in addition to sharing the research, Shaloh should include various short videos of teachers incorporating blending instruction as well as activities in which teachers could practice the strategy.

Shaloh will send me the Power Point and I will provide feedback.  Our next meeting will be April 28 at which time we will review the feedback, with the final presentation to be held on May 12.
