Midpoint:
Progress monitoring data
Target Goal:
By May 15th, I will provide instruction that matches the students' needs as defined by the quadrants (e.g., strong in decoding and weak in language comprehension, etc.) in order to prepare 50% of students to pass the CVC Really Great Reading (RGR) subtest and read the RGR decodable on short vowels.
Notes
Kylie shared her baseline data for the goal and I recorded it on her goal page.
4/8/26- 42% of students (6 out of 14) are reading CVC words at 80% accuracy (4 out of 5 short vowel words) Kylie is using Really Great Reading decodables for application of phonics and connected reading practice.
She identified explicitly teaching students to say the whole word if they know it on sight instead of always sounding out words. She feels like students may have gotten stuck in the habit of segmenting words and not listening for the blended word.
Students continue to make progress with the Really Great Reading decodables she recently found that she has access to.
She has a really low group that she had some ideas for as well.
