During a personal check-in, I asked about Jennifer’s hippo visit(!) and she said it was wonderful. She got to touch and feed and paint with it! As the school year ended, she spent the day interviewing principals for next year. Her first choice was not selected by the priest. 🙁 They will be vacationing in Breckenridge with her parent in Colorado next week, so we met a few days early for our first call of this semester.
This summer she is tutoring a student M0W at the Merriam Library working on fluency. She is utilizing learning and strategies from the Fluency Module.
The summer Foundations class is just getting started.
I stated that our primary purpose today was to explore what she might use as a goal for this summer semester and told her that, in the past, I’ve had summer coachees set a student goal (like they did in the spring), but I’ve also had coachees set a goal around selecting new learning/strategies from each module that they want to utilize/implement in the fall when they begin instruction again.
That’s the route she wants to take, so she will be prepared to discuss vocabulary and morphology when we meet again on 6/29/26 at 4:00 pm.
