During a personal check-in, Ann shared that Julia and Eddie had been excited about their Valentine’s Day parties, and that she had promised Sylas (who is in 6th grade and too old for school parties) that they would plan something fun for Saturday (Valentine’s Day) to cheer him up! Her own students had their class party earlier that day.
When asked how coursework was going, she shared that the first assignments had been graded and she thought the grading was fair and the comments were great.
I shared that our primary purpose was to determine an area of inquiry for her goal and further work.
She talked about her kindergartners not being flagged in the screener for phonological and phonemic awareness needs. She talked about their work to read decodable words. I shared that she could select an individual or a group for her goal, and she is planning to do further exploration before our next meeting on 2/25/26 at 1:50.
