Notes

Coach Log Note 1:

10/7/26

Rayvin continues to work on course modules.  He states that he is either on Module 4 or 5 at this time but couldn’t remember.  He seems to be continually overwhelmed given the number of courses, programs and certifications he is acquiring all at the same time.  He sent me a student goal during our meeting that required extensive review and modification.  He had no plan for instruction or assessment.  Based on our conversation, I sent him information about the following with links to where these resources are located in the course module:

  • Focus on the Synthetic Approach to phonics instruction.
  • Review how to assess for phonics skills using the QPR.
  • Review the course module information that provides an example of a lesson plan that incorporates multisensory and explicit instruction.

I indicated it is critical that he begin to work on his student goal. I drafted goal attainment levels to provide structure since he could not offer that information without support.

His lack of follow-through and course knowledge is concerning to me at this time.
