C and T –
Rachel has worked through module 3 but still needs to complete that assessment. To complete the quadrant assignment, she does have middle school data that has been shared with her (again, high school access is limited for her). She is worried that it might not be sufficient to meet the assignment expectations. I suggested she speak with the professor to verify its appropriateness.
We discussed her student leaning goal. She plans to work on vocabulary development. We discussed tier 1, 2 and 3 vocabulary. We also discussed the role of dialogic reading since she just reviewed that information in the recent module. We also discussed how she might select key words at tier 2 and 3 levels. She will decide her area of focus this week. I sent her lists of tier 2 academic words for each grade level.
Prior to this meeting, I sent her co-teaching information. We discussed each of the co-teaching structures that could be used in her math classroom. She will continue to analyze the information prior to our next meeting. We will discuss how she could use those structures to support the use of the special education teacher in her classroom.
