Students are currently scoring at an average of 24 wcpm on the Fastbridge cbm assessment.
Midpoint:
By November 6, educator will teach a group of four students with strategies and repeated reading practice to improve their fluency to score 34 wcpm on the Fastbridge cbm assessment.
Target Goal:
By December 15, educator will teach a group of four students with strategies and repeated reading practice to improve their fluency to score 44wcpm on the Fastbridge cbm assessment.
Notes
Eliza had some trouble with her Zoom connection so we had some struggles getting started but we talked about what she would like to set as a goal for her students. First she thought HFW but I suggested that that might be a little out of the new knowledge we are learning with the Science of reading and learning as many words as a we can by sight rather than a list. After more discussion, she decided to go with a fluency goal.
She has some students reading at a very low rate that she would like to work with in a small group to improve their wcpm. I asked her to do a current check with a Fastbridge cbm so we can have a baseline and we can then set a goal. She will send those and we can get started.
