On September 22, student is currently reading 29 wcpm on the Fastbridge cbm assessment.
Midpoint:
By November 3, educator will intervene with a student that has low fluency 4 days a week for 10 minutes on fluency strategies along with retelling and questioning in order to increase his Fastbridge CBM scores 1.6 words per week to a score of 37 wcpm.
Target Goal:
By December 8, educator will intervene with a student that has low fluency 4 days a week for 10 minutes on fluency strategies along with retelling and questioning in order to increase his Fastbridge CBM scores 1.6 words per week to a score of 45 wcpm.
Notes
Whitney feels like she is making good progress on her modules in class and is done with learning on Modules 3 and 4 and is ready for application. No questions at this time.
We did some brainstorming on her problem of practice to create a goal She has one student that she would like to work on fluency. The student is currently reading at 26 wcpm on the Fastbridge cbm. She will do another one this week so she has a current baseline. He can decode and phonics skills at the word level seem to be above grade level. He is not receiving any other intervention and supposedly has good language skills. She is bringing him to SIT due to his low fluency. I suggested that she also look at his retelling and sentence level comprehension as that may be getting in the way of his fluency.
She is setting a 10 week fluency goal and we may add retelling.
