Sophie and Aubrey are currently at a 5 on the Fluency Rubric.
Sophie - 12/56 wpm
Aubrey - 18/56 wpm
Midpoint:
score 7.5 on the rubric
Target Goal:
By May 19, a group of students below-level in fluency will improve from 5 to 10 on the Fluency Rubric and improve by at least 10 wpm on the Fastbridge Reading CBM.
Notes
During a personal check-in, Katie shared that golf try-outs are next week(!) and that her class has been “chatty.” 🙂
When asked about coursework, she shared that she has completed all six modules(!) with only an Application Task (doing with the 3rd grade teacher) to complete.
We finished composing her goal and identified the goal stages.
Further info about the current state: both Sophie and Aubrey scored a 1 on Expression/Volume, both scored 2 on Phrasing, both scored 1 on Smoothness, and both scored 1 on Pace. This will help in tracking progress.
We discussed her instructional plans and they will include:Â repeated readings, I Do/We Do/You Do, using examples and nonexamples, Reader’s Theatre, feedback with YOU statements, review of heart words (on their ring books), singing, and decoding fluency sentences.
We will meet again on 3/24 at 1:00.
