Notes

Coach Log Note 1:

During a personal check-in, I asked what the Valentines Bear brought RaeEllen (lip gloss and candy) and Gordon and LK (Legos and candy).

I asked about how the work on her Masters courses from ESU were coming and she said this period (ending Spring Break) had been a doozy!  One course was about culture and one was on writing assessments.

When asked about coursework, she said she was working with two other teachers in her building and that they had held and reflected on a discussion for the Application Task for Module 4.

We finalized her goal (for Aylene Roganm, and Elijah) and goal stage points working together on a shared screen.

We then looked at Module 5 together to identify specific attributes and activities for phonics instruction.  She will be utilizing I Do, We Do, You Do for explicit instruction and adding in kinesthetics when she can.  She has begun using sound drills, word sorting, sound mapping (with chips) and identifying words in a passage they read that contain the pattern being instructed.

We also explored activities found at fcrr.org and she identified R-Caterpillars and R-Controlled Spin as useful for her instruction at this time.

We will meet again 3/24 at 3:00.
