Reba Mathew and I met for her 3rd coaching session on February 19, 2026. We are finishing up the examining influence phase of the Vector model and are moving into the Committing to Change phase.
Reba is a Special Education teacher and has committed to goals which are aligned with the IEP goals of 2 children. Both will continue to work on fluency goals, but will be working to increase comprehension as well.
Reba has discovered a resource called, “Visualizing and Verbalizing” by Nanci Bell which will be the basis for working with the students to improve comprehension.
As we move into the Commit to Change phase of the model, we are planning a time that Reba will create a video of her instruction which we will discuss. She is currently visiting with the other colleagues in her building about a need for a consent form.
