Notes
Annette is a retired teacher that taught in Oskaloosa, Louisiana, North Carolina and retired from the Seaman district where she still subs. She taught grades K, 2, 3 and 4. She also has a master’s degree in gifted education.
Annette wants to learn more about structured literacy and is thinking of continuing courses through Washburn to obtain her master’s degree in literacy. We had a great discussion about LETRS and the knowledge she will gain from the course. Her goal for the course is to increase skills in the area of literacy and competency in phonics instruction.
We scheduled to meet Wednesdays at 2. Her husband is going through a big medical diagnosis right now so she may not be able to work with students during the course. We will find a way to create a goal without direct student instruction.
Our next meeting is scheduled for 9/23 @ 2:00
