Coach Log Note 1:

Elliza is a second grade teacher that is in her 3rd year of teaching, one year in 3rd grade and 2 years in 2nd grade. She is from the Overland Park area and a KU graduate. She is excited to learn more about the Science of Reading and acquire the seal of literacy. She says there are lots of needs and behaviors in her class this year.

Here ELA block includes Whole group for Wit and Wisdom and then recess. After that is 95% group phonics lessons followed by DRI reading and MTSS skills grouped across the grade level.

She has started her modules in class and has done the pre assessment.

We talked about what she might choose for her problem of practice. She thought perhaps phonics or spelling. She will think this week and email me with ideas or questions. I will send her some example goals to get some ideas.
