Ryan is making strong progress in meeting course learning and application requirements.  He passed all knowledge tests.
Application assignment progress is as follows:
Module 2: completed using Fastbridge data
Module 3 – incorporated in an observation for Module 12
Module 4 – observation completed on a phonemic awareness lesson
Module 5 – will teach a phonics lesson
Module 6 – fluency observation completed
Module 7/8 – professional discussion completed
Mod 9/10 – a second professional discussion to be scheduled
Mod 11/12 – writing lesson that incorporates Module 3 oral language completed
We also discussed his long-term plan to incorporate new literacy learning into his school in the fall. There will be a new district-wide Envision curriculum that will require professional development; tiered resources are incorporated. Ryan will need to determine how to coordinate professional growth in competing initiatives. We discussed that he will establish a baseline for literacy focus by completing a deep dive analysis of student data. He will also spend notable time in teachers’ classrooms to gain information on their application of literacy strategies.
