By the end of the year, She will teach a group of 3rd graders sentence level strategies for analyzing and writing complete sentences. She will keep student samples to evaluate their growth.

Coach Log Note 1:

Shea has continued to work on Syntax strategie with her class. They have moved into creating their own sentences and then scrambling them.They then pass them to a classmate and have them put them back together to make sense. The students had fun and learned alot about how parts of speech have certain roles in sentences.

She will be tutoring this summer and wanted to know more comprehension ideas to use with her 4 th grade tutee. I was able to connect her with another Olathe teacher who had developed comprehension graphic organizers and progress monitoring tools that may help her this summer.
