Coach Log Note 1:
Cassie had made great progress with Addie in CVCe words and the use of speed drills to increase automaticity. She is currently using 10 minutes of her daily routine to work on the mixed vowel drill and she is doing well. They graph her progress which is motivating to Addie. We talked about David Kilpatrick’s work on phonemic awareness and his PAST test that includes both accuracy and automaticity as scores. Then the 1 minute acitiviies that follow. I sent her the link to his book and samples of the test and activities. She will send progress monitoring data after Spring Break.
