Notes

Coach Log Note 1:

Glenda wants to expand her goal to include the vowel teams oi & oy, ai & ay. She has been implementing the instructional practices that we have talked about and seen good progress in her student being able to identify the sounds of the vowel teams and where they are located in a word. We looked at her video and talked about her instruction. She did a good job of keeping the instruction moving, including concept questioning throughout the lesson, including lots of practice with words with those vowel teams in them, and discussing vocabulary. Her goal was to work on one syllable words. However, Glenda got herself in a bit of difficulty when she ventured into 2 syllable words and her student was clearly not ready for that challenge. It is probably wise to stick with one syllable words until her student is proficient in one syllable words. Glenda did not have her updated data ready and needs to send me her data as soon as possible.

Next Steps

To Do: Continue to collect data and continue the instructional stategies that she has begun
