Crystal finished Module 1. She said she likes the format of the course, the information, and thought the time requirements were not overwhelming.
We talked about the dyslexia training that we had during Covid and that it ties into what she learned in Module 1.
She uses Heggerty and appreciates the learning it provides for her students. She taught CKLA for a year and was not happy with her students’ level of learning. She has some autonomy in choosing resources. She uses Animated Literacy as a supplement, and she is pleased with the students’ knowledge of phonics.
Her district uses Fastbridge for testing, and ESGI for the kindergarten progress report.
She will think about what she wants to focus her goal on for this course and what assessments may provide data she needs for that. We will work together at our next meeting to create a goal.
